Yamuna flowing above the Danger Mark in the Capital

The water level in the Yamuna on Thursday transcended the risk check after 18,295 cusecs of water was discharged into it from the neighboring Haryana's Hathini Kund Barrage

The Yamuna is presently streaming at 205.49 meters, which is over the threat sign of 204 meters.

In the wake of the crisis, Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash on Tuesday assembled a conference to talk about the circumstance. 

As a prudent step, Divers with boats have been positioned in low lying zones and the Sub-Divisional Magistrates have been told to keep a check on the situations.

As per the media reports, the water level of Yamuna at Delhi Railway Bridge at 11 am was 205.12 meters.
 


It generally takes 72 hours to reach the water in Delhi that is released from Hathnikund Barrage.
It is to be noted that the Hathinikund Barrage is the Barrage which gives drinking water to the city.
 
Delhi had seen the most exceedingly terrible floods in 1978 when the river`s level contacted a record 207.49 meters.
